This edition of Mobile World Congress 2010 has been a great success for us. Conferences, seminars and meetings have shown that the direction towards the industry moves forward is in line with our approach of developing a product strategy based on the app store concept. These services enable operators to provide users more applications over a far wider offer of devices than is available today.
We would like to thank clients, partners, visitors and friends for your kind support and encouragement during this event. It was a pleasure meeting you in Barcelona.
It has been an enticing and enriching experience to share our ideas with all of you. And we hope we can establish fruitful collaborations with you in the foreseeable future.

On Monday, the 15th Mobile World Congress in Barcelona opened its doors as the most important event within the mobile industry. That first day we received a good number of visitors in our stand located in the Spanish Pavilion.
One of the most distinguished visitors was Spanish Minister of Industry, Miguel Sebastian, who showed his interest in Spanish companies whose strategy is based on innovation and seek to make our country be a referent in the development of new technologies.
During this visit, we could chat with him for a while and explain our innovative character to develop mobile applications that contribute to make new technologies closer and more accessible to users, with services that fit in virtually every handset and with applications specially designed for impaired people.

Almira Labs is among the 9 Spanish companies chosen to take part in the next edition of INNOVACT, a European forum for young innovative companies which will be held next March, 2nd and 3rd in Reims, France. Almira Labs has been chosen from a total of 48 applicant companies. This is a great satisfaction for us, because it is a recognition of the innovative value of our business project and its international exposure.
This event allows European innovative companies that have been established in the past 4 years to show their project to European agents. These agents take part in creating and developing innovative projects and are: European institutions, European Business and Innovation Centers, public and private investors, consultants, experts and European research institutions.
During this forum, all companies will take part in a number of activities such as pre-scheduled meetings, “Best Practices Workshop” and formative sessions given by the “College des Entrepreneurs”.
Additionally, Almira Labs will take part at the “Carrefour des possibles Européen”, where 10 ICT companies will be selected to show their project to European institutions, public and private investors, and more agents. We will be able to make our company known in Europe. This will enable us to establish strategic alliances with new partners and to enter into new collaborations with European institutions in order to reinforce our activity and our position in the European market.

Almira Labs is launching new applications at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Since last edition in 2009, we have worked in new services that we will showcase in our booth during the event.
The new applications are:
Voice Smileys: Assign different sounds to the keypad of your mobile, and play them during a call. You can include the bark of a dog, the groaning of a lion or honk the horn of a car while talking to your friends. Fun is served!.
Video / Voice Ambience: Tint the atmosphere of your calls by adding a sound or video background. Call your boss when you are late for work from a traffic jam or you can call your friends from a bar surrounded by beautiful women. You will want to change places over and over again!
Video / Voice Blog: If you are addicted to social networks you can now access them through your mobile phone and post messages to update your profile wherever you are and regardless of the mobile phone you have. Keep your contacts posted on every move you make!
These sticky services have been designed to enhance user’s daily communications and bring more fun to their mobile phones.
Visit us in our booth at the Mobile World Congress Barcelona and get to know these and other new applications and services!

RCS DevChallenge Contest has meant to us a great opportunity to learn from the best companies in the telecom ecosystem. The competition was tough, as top-level companies such as Ericsson, Nokia, HP…showed their latest releases. Finally, we are not among the finalist in the shortlist provided by the judging panel. But this fact encourages us to work hard in order to find the best ways to develop RCS in the future and try to get better results in coming editions.
We are very proud of the applications we showcased during the contest. Additionally, we would like to thank the organization of the event for attending us so kindly at Telefónica Headquarters in Madrid. We are sure we are on the right path for success and we will be ready to show you next year!
Our Roadmap for 2010 will be made up by products and services that will be aligned with the RCS Initiative. We will let you know about them shortly!

Almira Labs is constantly innovating and adapting its product strategy to market demands. Our role as developers of NGIN services and applications entails to be the first to adopt the lastest trends.
We are currently developing applications within the JIL (Joint Innovation Lab) that can be used in all mobile devices and all operating sytems. This universality benefits all parts within the telecommunications ecosystem: operators, device manufacturers and developers and we will be walking in the same path with the same goals. And if one part wins, all of them do so.
JIL is a new and exciting initiative which is expected to bring a high success in the telecom industry and which has been joined by a good number of companies who seek to work in collaboration with others so operators become main actors within the content value chain.
We will shortly show you all our new JIL releases!
