MediaCast
Rachel is missing this year´s edition of NY fashion week as she is away doing business in China. With the MediaCast she receives a video message after every show so she can view all designers´s top proposals.
Mark is visiting a client factory in Australia. NBA Final Four is on and he will be missing it…..With the MediaCast he receives real-time updates on scores and matches, so he can know who the winner is as soon as the match is over.
MediaCast allows users to be informed wherever they are by receiving voice and video messages with different contents: headlines, events, breaking news, business updates, sports scores…..Information is as close as your handset. Suscription and unsuscription are easy as it can be done by sending an SMS or calling through the guided system. The service can be supported by any handset so no high-end terminals are required.
Content providers can create news feeds with a defined short code and can generate, update, and manage contents using a web management interface. Contents are stored in the media server and once they are uploaded into the platform, the service administrator can define the schedule in which the content will be pushed.
MediaCast means a new revenues source for service providers. It requires no investment in new infrastructures and is supported by any handset and any network. Subscribers are charged a certain amount each time a message is received, and the service provider would share this revenue with the content provider.
